We met at a friend's birthday neither of us wanted to attend, in a bar that has since closed. Matei claims he spoke first. There is a photograph that suggests otherwise, and it is not on this website.
How we got here
Nine years, three cities, one very slow decision.

The long middle
Two years in different countries, four flats, one difficult cat. Most of what we know about each other we learned in airports and on the phone, which is either romantic or a logistical failure depending on who is telling it.

We came back to Venice last spring, walked past the bar that closed, and decided there was no sense waiting any longer. We would like you there — properly there, for the whole evening, with your phone in your pocket.
